How to edit your campaign
What makes our product special, is your ability to truly customize your page to fit your organization’s needs. Follow the directions below to control the different aspects of your page. Keep in mind this is for a basic campaign page where multiple teams or registration/ticketing have not been added.
To edit a campaign, you will need to do the following:
- Sign into your GoFundMe Charity account
- Click the Campaigns tab
- Find your campaign and select the Edit pencil icon
- Roll over your Campaign page and click Edit
- Navigate through the Content, Design, and Settings tabs to make campaign adjustments.
- Make your changes and click “Save!”
Important: Some of these features may not be available if you joined someone else’s campaign page. If you see something missing from within your account that’s mentioned below, don’t fret! You’re meant to have less functionality than the campaign page you’ve joined.
Summary of features you can edit
Content Tab
Campaign title - create a quick title to describe your campaign
Add photos - you can add multiple photos here. You’ll notice that the image in the first position is the one that is actually displayed on the campaign. You can click and drag the images around to change the order.
Add a video - when a video is added, it automatically becomes featured as the main image. You can hover over the video and unclick the star icon in the right hand corner if you don’t want it featured as the main image.Campaign story - add a story that shares a little but about the cause or organization you are raising money for. You can bold, italicize, underline, and hyperlink text.
Buttons -
- Add a custom button and link it out to the page of your choice
- 4 button maximum
- Ability to move/hide buttons - click and drag the 3 horizontal lines on each button to move them
- Ability to change the button in the top navigation bar by clicking the star icon next to each button
Edit Goal - ability to change your goal amount or hide the goal completely by toggling it off
Edit Date - you can set the date of your event. If your campaign is not an event, this section is not relevant.
Edit Location - you can set the location of the event. If your campaign is not an event, this section is not relevant.
Edit Donation Amounts - If you are looking to change the defaulted donation amounts, please reach out to our support team directly.
Design Tab
Campaign Theme - you can add custom hex codes here to match your branding
Header Logo - Add a logo and link it out to the page of your choice
Hide Campaign Creation Date - ability to toggle off the campaign creation date
Hide Donation List - ability to hide your list of donors with the toggle
Facebook Custom Share Image - customize the main image that shows when someone shares your campaign
Facebook Custom Share Text - customize the text that is displayed when someone shares your campaign
Settings Tab
Beneficiary - you'll have the ability to change your beneficiary as long as you don't have any team members or donations. Once you have either of those, you won't be able to change the beneficiary of your campaign.
Customize your URL - you’ll only be able to edit this yourself once. You can reach out to nposupport@gofundme.com if you need to change it again.
Disable New Fundraisers - toggling this off removes the Join button on your campaign
Disable Donate Button - Ability to disable your Donate button right away or have it automatically disable at a certain date and time
Hide Donation Dollar Amounts - ability to hide the amounts of all the individual donations
Allow Offline Donations - allow your team members to add offline donations to their own campaign
Enable Fundraising Minimums
- Adding a fundraising minimum here means that those that Join your campaign will be required to raise a certain amount
- Ability to add a checkpoint
Social Amp - turn off/on ability for others to share your campaign
Campaign Account Code - this is a code your company can create to help track donations from specific campaigns
Google Analytics Tracking ID - if your organization has a Google Analytics ID, you can add this here
