Before you can get started fundraising as an organization, you’ll need to claim your charity account to which will then become the home of all your future fundraising efforts.
Keep in mind, if you had an individual account on our site before claiming a charity, your individual account will merge into your new charity admin account.
How to charity admin account
We recommend that you use your organization email to sign up, since it will allow us to rapidly vet your information.
To get started, please follow these directions below to claim your nonprofit:
- Click this link to sign up with GoFundMe Charity.
- Search for your nonprofit by EIN/Tax ID (US) or BRN (CA)
- Locate your nonprofit and click Claim Nonprofit or Request Access
- Our team will then verify your involvement with the nonprofit within 1 business day
- We will send you a PIN Number to access all your features, including the ability to switch payment processors and view the report center.
Important: For customers who would like to fundraise on behalf of an organization, but don’t work for them, we recommend creating a charity campaign on GoFundMe’s personal product. Click this sign up link here to get started.
Adding your organization's profile to GoFundMe Charity
If you don’t see your organization listed on our site after going through the claim process, then we will need to first manually add your organization to our system before you can start fundraising.
To qualify for a nonprofit account on CrowdRise, US nonprofits must be listed in the GuideStar database. Once your organization has been listed, please contact our team to help with the next steps.
GuideStar collects information on nonprofits from the IRS and other sources and organizes it into one of the most respected databases of information about nonprofits. To get listed on GuideStar you'll want to make sure you have your IRS Letter of Determination handy and then follow these steps to get listed on their site.

To qualify for a Nonprofit Account on CrowdRise, your organization must be granted a BRN, appear in the Canada.ca database and be recognized as a Canadian Charity who is eligible to receive donations. Once your organization has been listed, please contact our team to help with the next steps
